Welcome to my chaotic life

Alright, let’s do this.
If you’ve found your way here, welcome — grab a drink, get comfy, and prepare for some unfiltered, oversharing twenty-something realness.
I’m Farrah and looking back if you had told 16-year-old me I would be writing a blog about my life just for fun, I probably would laughed and gone back to writing in my journal. But here we are.
I’m 23 years old, currently calling Calgary home, but I grew up on Canada’s west coast enjoying everything about island life.
I spent my youth living on Bowen Island, a little slice of paradise just of the coast of Vancouver, where life moves at its own pace. Mornings were spent walking through forest trails, afternoons curled up with a book at the coffee shop, and summers meant swimming in the ocean till the sun disappeared below the horizon. It was the best of both worlds — small town charm with the city just 20 minutes away by boat.
I worked at my parents locals bar. A place where everyone comes together. A true gathering spot of the community. You could often find me chatting to customers, cleaning up tables and most often lingering behind the bar eavesdropping on conversations which are straight out of a sitcom.
Before I left the rock for good and settled into university life, I spent years modelling, which took me all around the world. I got to see places I never imagined, meet incredible people and experience a side of life that was both thrilling and exhausting. The industry taught me confidence, resilience, and how to walk in heels for hours without breaking a sweat (or an ankle). It also nurtured my love for fashion, travel, and story telling – after all every photo shoot needs to tell a story.
But somewhere along the way — between finishing high school, travelling the world as a model, moving to Calgary, adopting two chaotic but lovable dogs and taking a year off from university due to chronic health issues — I realized something: maybe I’m not the only one who feels like they are figuring it out as they go.
Thats why I started this blog.
This isn’t a place for perfectly curated advice or “how to have your life together by 25” nonsense. It’s a space for real talk — about love, friendships, self growth, dog mom struggles, fashion wins (and fails), and all the weird in between moments of being in your 20s. Because if we’re being honest… does anyone really know what they’re doing?
So, what can you expect?
Think of it like the group chat you actually want to check — hot takes on relationships, friendships, money, wellness, fashion, pets, and just about everything else. If it happens in your 20s, it’s fair game.
If you love a good mix of humour, brutal honesty, and a little bit (or a lot) of “WTF am I doing with my life”, you’re in the right place.
Always feel free to drop a comment, share your thoughts, or just lurk (I don’t judge, we all do it).
Here’s to the chaos, the coffee and figuring it out as we go.
Bold enough to stand out, Brave enough to own it
With Love,
Farrah
